Digital Marketing Diploma Program

In a pioneering move, the government of Sindh has announced the introducing of a digital marketing diploma program in its public colleges across the province. This forward-thinking initiative aims to equip students with valuable digital marketing skills, aligning them with the demands of the modern job market.

The Digital Marketing Diploma program will be rolled out in 30 public sector colleges, with representation in various key cities. These include five colleges in Karachi, four in Hyderabad, six in Mirpurkhas, four in Larkana, four in Sukkur, and five in Shaheed Benazirabad. The comprehensive approach ensures accessibility for students from different regions of Sindh.

To ensure the Digital Marketing Diploma Program's quality and effectiveness, the provincial government established a five-member committee tasked with designing the curriculum, assessing technical requirements, and formulating the program's framework. Moreover, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has approved the digital marketing module, validating its relevance and importance in the contemporary educational landscape.

Secretary Colleges, Sadaf Shaikh, shared that the Digital Marketing Diploma will initially be a one-year program, with students attending daily two-hour classes dedicated to digital marketing. While it is primarily intended for Computer Science students, the program welcomes students from other departments, making it inclusive and versatile in its approach.

Secretary Colleges expressed optimism that this Digital Marketing Diploma would create many employment opportunities for students as they continue their university education. This forward-thinking move by the Sindh government demonstrates its commitment to providing quality education and preparing its youth for the digital age.

In another noteworthy development, the College Education Department has introduced an online system for selecting college principals, as stated by College Education Department Deputy Secretary Rashid Ahmed Khoso. This innovative approach promises to modernize the process of appointing principals for government colleges in Sindh, further enhancing the quality of education in the region.
