Hyderabad (Update by 022 News, Hyderabad, Urdu) - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has uncovered a significant drug trafficking operation carried out through online shopping platforms, leading to the arrest of 11 individuals in various cities. According to an ANF spokesperson, the investigation has revealed more suspects, with connections
to this illicit trade extending to all four provinces of Pakistan.

The spokesperson disclosed that during their operation, the ANF managed to seize 33 parcels containing illegal narcotics. In total, 53.7 kilograms of hashish, 1.6 kilograms of methamphetamine (commonly known as ice), and 1.2 kilograms of opium were confiscated.

Reports of drug trafficking through online shopping platforms have been emerging over the past few months, indicating the extent of this underground trade. The spokesperson explained that a well-organized group exploited online shopping platforms to smuggle narcotics by registering front companies.

Moreover, the ongoing investigation suggests that this criminal network is spread across the entire country, with the involvement of individuals employed by major e-commerce platforms. The shocking revelation points to a multi-pronged challenge in tackling this menace, as it involves both organized crime groups and elements within legitimate e-commerce businesses.
